Pardon Our Appearance

In the next few weeks we are going to be starting on a new project at Rockaway Recycling to help make our facility cleaner and even smoother to work at. We are installing a large roof to assist in unloading during inclement weather as well as an electronic price board to have the prices flowing while you are waiting in line or unloading your scrap.
We have been excited to get this project together and are even more excited to get it started in the next few weeks. We want to apologize in advance if our yard is a little unorganized as we are doing the construction, but we will make sure to do our best to keep things clean and neat while the work is in progress.
If you have any questions about what we are doing or how it will affect your experience at Rockaway Recycling please let us know.
The prices have been steady over the last few weeks, but the markets have been a little unstable over the last few months and we want to make sure that our customers know what is going on. We see the copper prices staying at this level through the rest of the year, and hopefully starting to rise in early 2015 and beyond. The steel prices have taken a big hit over the last few weeks and have dropped around 15-20% overall. We are hoping that this recovers as well, but are not sure what is going to happen.
