5 Tips For Visiting Rockaway Recycling
Posted: January 3, 2023
Below we have collected some tips about your first or 100th visit when bringing your scrap metal to Rockaway Recycling.
Our Goal Is To Get You In & Out Efficiently
There can be times at the door that people may feel skipped or held up, but neither is true. With usually only one man working the scales, it can become very hectic for them, and patience is appreciated for it helps the scale man be more thorough and accurate with materials so mistakes can be avoided. So now for a few tips on how to expedite the process below.
Tips for A Faster Trip to Rockaway Recycling
1) Try to have your materials organized, separated, and somewhat packaged upon arrival. If you have questions on material, we will be glad to assist.
2) We have many bins and hoppers available to load material. If you know you’ll need one once here feel free to take it upon yourself and grab one to use.
3) If you come with a bulk load try and bring someone to help with the unloading of material. We are a busy shop and don’t always have a hand to lend, but if we do we’re not shy with assistance.
4) If unsure about materials (ie. PC scrap) try to separate materials with similar-looking pieces to help quicken the buying process. Again we are happy to educate the customers here on “how to” so your next visit will be a little easier.
5) Ask questions about the material. We try not to hold back any secrets because the more you know, the easier our job is at the door.
Hopefully, these 5 tips make your next visit easier and painless and all the ones after as well.
