Rockaway Recycling offers some of the best scrap prices for your scrap metal and bronze scrap in the North New Jersey Area. We can help you sort your scrap metal materials at our facility. Bronze is a great material for scrap metal, it is darker orange/red color compared to brass, but is more yellow than copper. The way bronze is classified is by the percentage of copper and zinc inside it. The more copper, the redder in color it will be. That is generally why you will see bronze scrap prices being slightly higher than brass prices but lower than copper prices. If you have questions about bronze or other metals, please be sure to contact us.

Bronze is a great metal to scrap and is always worth more than brass, but less then copper. Bronze generally consists of 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc. There are multiple other types of metals that may look like bronze, but unless you have it completely clean, it will be a hard item to sell as bronze. Bronze is also known as red brass compared to yellow brass. For bronze to be priced differently than brass, it must contain 80-90% copper.
Generally, we buy bronze in bulk, and if you have one or two pieces we advise to mix it in with your regular brass. It is really important to know that bronze has to be completely clean in order to get the higher price on it. Bronze has a high scrap value when you want to cash it in. You can always get paid cash at our yard on the spot.
