Air Conditioners will have Aluminum/Copper Coils inside of them to help regulate the temperature along with the freon inside. These Aluminum/Copper Coils or ACR’s will contain a good amount of copper tubing on the inside running through the aluminum fin. Towards the two side of the Aluminum/Copper Coils you will find the steel brackets that have copper tubing coming out from the side. If you want to bring those ACR’s in for scrap, Rockaway Recycling accepts them along with your other metals. However you have to remember to have the freon legally removed by a licensed HVAC contractor before bringing it in. We will not accept air conditioners or Aluminum/Copper Coils with freon still inside.
