Rockaway Business Donates Over $771 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Holiday Customer Appreciation/Charity BBQ

Rockaway, NJ – Non-Ferrous Scrap Metal Recyclers in the Tri-State area were in full swing on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Rockaway Recycling while helping to raise over $771 to support St. Jude’s and children battling cancer.

Breakfast Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Beverages were served throughout the day from 7am-12pm. For every food item consumed Rockaway Recycling donated $1 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Customers also took their own initiative by donating a portion of their own scrap metal earnings to St. Jude’s, which amounted to over $150 in addition to the $771.

Along with the local business owners and homeowners, 105.5 WDHA The Rock of NJ Radio was also in attendance providing some great music and prizes for the customers.
