With so many different types of computer equipment out there and so many new circuit boards it is tough to figure out what material is what and what your circuit boards are worth.
We Can Help Identify Your Circuit Boards
Circuit boards contain all different types of metals like copper, gold, brass, aluminum, silver, and more. With so many different types of metals on the circuit boards you always want to make sure to ask us about what you have so one of the team members at Rockaway Recycling will be able to get you not only accurate pricing but also a great understanding on what you want to look for.
There are many types of circuit boards from telecom to server boards, and those are just the beginning of the list. With so many metals being used so sparingly in circuit boards the value of the newer circuit boards has really decreased since the beginning of 2000 and it will continue to go down as the years move on. The circuit boards are difficult to learn sometimes and there are sudden differences to help you figure out what is what. The color of the actual board whether it be green or blue will help determine where it was made and how much that it may be worth. How many pins or chips that are on it will also help determine pricing.
Circuit Boards & Chips Matter To Us
The chips that get soldered to the board are a big indicator as to what type of pricing that you are going to get. The ceramic pins are going to help make the circuit boards worth more money then most of the plastic chips. You also have to look for the attachments that are on the boards from the aluminum heatsinks to the power supply wires that could be hanging off of them. The cleaner that the boards are….the better pricing that you are going to get.
One thing that you have to look out for is taking TOO much off of the boards. Having the chips removed from the boards that have already been soldered on is not a good thing. Those chips are where a large percentage of the value comes from.
