Historical Prices for Ballasts
Rockaway Recycling accepts ballasts for scrap metal. Coming from light fixtures it is important to know what you can do with them when you are looking to scrap them. Ballasts come from inside of light bulbs and there generally are two types. Electronic and copper based ballasts. At Rockaway Recycling we are interested in buying the copper based ballasts and we want to make sure that they are ones that do not contain PCBs. Make sure to remove them from the lighting fixture and cut wires off as well. We will never take the entire unit as-is nor do we want any of the glass. Be sure to remove all glass before coming to our facility, otherwise we may not be able to get the full price for them.
