Introduction to Joe & Winter Projects

Posted: January 20, 2015

What’s up scrappers! Joe here for those of you who don’t know me yet, I’m the handsome man in the NY GIANTS hard hat working the scales at Rockaway Recycling. I’ve been an employee at the Rock for about 5 years now. I’ll usually have you in and out of the door as fast as I can. I make it a point to get our customers on their way cash in hand as fast as possible. You can catch me on YouTube teaching you how to make more money with your scrap on Cup of Joe and other various videos.

We are starting something new here at the Rock once a month a couple of us from the Rock will be putting up a blog post. Some of the things you can expect are definitely some pro tips maybe a funny story or two and a little insight into the scrap world. Also some of the stuff that’s going on around our shop, projects, renovations, new procedures and other things to make everything run smoother for our customers like you.

So scrappers now that we got the boring stuff out of the way lets talk about some stuff that is relevant. It’s winter… One more time… it’s winter. It’s a rough time of the year for a lot of us who have to work out in this but hang tough a couple more months it will be spring again. So work is slowing down this time of year for many companies and that means WINTER PROJECTS. This is the time of year where everything at the Rock gets a fresh coat of paint. Next time you pull into the yard, have a look around at all the freshly painted dumping hoppers and racks lined up. Till next time! Scrap ya later!
