Before & After: New Tailgate Graphic & Winter Weather

Posted: January 23, 2014

Recently before the winter, we took the Rockaway Recycling pick up to get some TLC with a new graphic on the back of the truck. While our truck may not always be on the road picking up scrap or scoping out the latest industrial scrap job, we always like it to look sharp. Considering we use this truck to plow that white stuff too, we should at least look good while doing it!
This brings me to my next point about the winter weather and what it does to our operations and how it affects you as our customers. When the temperatures drop, many of our contractor customers have to deal with frozen pipes. The frozen copper pipes while they are never fun to deal with once they bust, Rockaway Recycling is here to help you scrap your copper pipes and other metals. If you have a large job during the winter that could benefit with a container on site, be sure to contact us about our pickup services
We can drop a container off at your location to collect your scrap copper, steel, aluminum, and other metals during the winter months to help you get the job done quicker and get warm. We also do our best to make sure that if you are dropping off your scrap our lot is clear of snow and ice. With our team on hand at the yard as soon as possible during storms, we will ensure to have the lot plowed, sanded, and salted the best of our ability to make sure you aren’t slipping and sliding while scrapping.
If you have any questions about our pick up services or our hours of operation during the winter months, be sure to check out our website. If you aren’t sure if we are open or not during the bad winter weather days, give us a call to see if we are in. You can assume that we will most likely be here to help you scrap your frozen, busted copper pipes, brass, aluminum, and more during the cold winter months. Be sure to stay warm with a hat, gloves, and baselayers!
