12 Years Later

Posted: September 12, 2013

Twelve years ago our country was completely shocked and stunned when the tragic events of September 11, 2001 occurred. Since then it seems that our country has a new look to it and that includes our economy. In 2008 we saw a large recession hit not only the economy but the specific pieces of industries including scrap metal.

The scrap metal market has since recovered well with prices remaining steady the last few weeks, but just like anything else, global events can rock the world and country, including the economy. At Rockaway Recycling, we know it can be frustrating to keep track of the current scrap market, on top of everything else in your life. That’s why we make it easy.

Every day we update all of our prices online for our customers to see. We want to make sure that we make one part of your daily routine a little easier and have the knowledge and reassurance that you can see our prices. Once our prices change at the scale, we guarantee that the changes will be reflected on our website. We take pride in giving our customers all the information they need when they look for it.

That also goes for our helpful information about scrapping, including our YouTube tips videos and other helpful information across our social media platforms. If you ever need help with scrapping, you can be sure that Rockaway Recycling will be there to help you. Our scale managers will be sure to give you the best prices and help sort your materials correctly when you visit our facility.

We hope to see you here soon. Don’t forget to print your Saturday Special Coupon out for #2 Copper Tubing for October and also print your Customer Appreciation BBQ Coupon our for November. Happy scrapping!
