Everything that we do stems from the support team around us. With team members from 1 year of history to 15 years, Rockaway Recycling always is watching out for their employees and treating them like they want to be treated.
Sometimes at our doors helping customers or out on the road picking up material from commercial customers, Joe has been a big part of the Rockaway Recycling family. Known for proudly wearing his NY Giants logo on hardhat all of the time, Joe is an avid sports fan. Always looking forward to talking about the Yankees or Giants, Joe will make sure that you understand what you are scrapping and how to make more money doing it.
Sean has been a big part of the Rockaway Recycling team in helping customers at the door, loading trucks, and sorting materials. Whether you see Sean rocking out at the door buying scrap for Rockaway Recycling, or hanging out with his daughter, you can always rely on a good joke from him. While he may have lost his sense of smell, he can always smell some good scrap coming his way.
Learning to parallel park a fork truck in the back lot when she was 12, Virginia knows her scrap. Whether she is in the office working on the Rockaway Recycling website, YouTube Page, Virginia can have a good conversation about anything sports. Working on planning the next BBQ or help the team out in the shop, Virginia wears many scrapping hats. Contact: [email protected]
You will most likely see Rey greeting you at one of our bay doors helping you unload your material or going over the latest safety measures at our facility. Rey is an important part in communicating with our customers about the easiest ways to make more money on your scrap. Previously serving in the Marine Corps., Rey takes pride in helping veterans that visit our shop, leaning new languages, and enjoying a good game of soccer.
Usually helping sort material or break down load of copper and brass, Oscar has been an essential part of the Rockaway Recycling Team. He is helpful for our Spanish-speaking customers and also show you how to sort your materials the best way to make the most money on your scrap metal. Oscar also can be seen helping sort larger materials and equipment in our back yard and also loading materials into trucks.
Donna holds several duties in and outside the scrap yard. From helping customers on the phone, sharing our latest happenings on social media, and managing many other tasks, Donna is pleased to help you. Her free time consists of 3 children, soccer games, cheerleading and chasing after a very active 3 year old. When I do happen to have some “me” time I enjoy football, anything outdoors, and going for motorcycle rides for charity.
When you see one of Rockaway Recycling’s trucks on the road, you may have a chance to see Jose behind the wheel of it. Making sure to call customers before he arrives, help them load material on to the truck after he is there, and always driving safely, he wants to make sure that the job gets done. He also is helpful when helping customers load and sort their materials before they are transported to our yard.
