Rockaway Recycling Raises $2,684 for St. Jude

fall 2013 BBQRockaway, NJ – This Fall, Rockaway Recycling, a scrap yard in North New Jersey, along with local businesses raised over $2,500 dollars to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. With donations from local business to sponsor their recent Customer Appreciation BBQ, Rockaway Recycling was able to donate $2,684 to their fundraiser Rock 4 Kids.

Since starting their Customer Appreciation BBQ’s back in 2011, Rockaway Recycling has been able to raise over $12,000 for St. Jude. More recently, the local businesses in the area have been generous to help with the cause. DMC Promotions in Dover, NJ also was able to donate t-shirts for the event to help awareness.

At the BBQ event, Rockaway Recycling donates $1 per item consumed towards Rock 4 Kids. Scrap metal customers are invited to bring special event coupons to make more money on their scrap metals, while also enjoying free burgers, hot dogs, bagels, and more.
